Ubaldo Sánchez, a talented artist from Guatemala, has made a significant impact in both his home country and the United States. Recognized as a gifted artist from a young age, he creates sculptures, pottery, murals, screen printing, painting, and sawdust carpets or Alfombras. A proud moment came when his painting New Dawn was selected for the White House collection. Ubaldo has lived in the United States for more than 20 years, and maintains strong ties to Guatemala. He established a fund to provide scholarships for children in his homeland, demonstrating his dedication to giving back. In 2017, the Guatemalan government honored him with the the highest honor to citizens, “La Orden del Quetzal,” for his artistry and community service.
