Cardboard Construction

Students explore cardboard as a building material while developing maker mindsets through hands-on challenges. They design and construct a 3D chair using simple tools and safe hot glue techniques, then reflect on their process and learning.

Introduction to Making & Measuring

Students will be introduced to the KID Inventors program and will learn about the Engineering Design Process. Then, they will complete a pipe cleaner tower challenge as a way to begin building in teams and working on problem solving skills. Finally, the class will complete a measurement activity where they practice using different measuring tools.
